This conversion was recently completed, all parts including the batteries are new. It has a 72 volt DC system that includes 9 8-volt batteries (Energizer EGC2), a D&D Motors 40 HP series motor (ES-15A), a clutchless 4-speed Honda transmission, and an Alltrax Controller rated for 72 volts and 500 amps peak. This car can go up to 60 mph, and has a range of 35 miles in moderate driving conditions. It has new front CV axles, and the back seats have been removed, making it a great dog car or cargo vehicle. It has been my regular commuter vehicle over the past few months, and it's a dream to drive, right past the gas stations. At current gasoline prices, this car effectively gets 175+ miles per gallon. It is priced to sell so that I can invest in future electric conversion projects.
